Nebacetin

Nebacetin is a topical combination antibiotic containing:

• Neomycin sulfate
• Bacitracin

It is used for:

• Treatment of infections of the skin and mucous membranes
• Local antibiotic protection in cases of burns and scalds
• Mastitis prophylaxis and treatment after incision
• Prophylaxis of umbilical infections

Nebacetin is not currently authorized or marketed in the USA or EU, as reflected by its absence from U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA) databases.
